Jay Z and Will Smith's healthy business relationship continues. Through their respective Roc Nation and Overbrook Entertainment companies, the pair have embarked on a number of co-producing efforts, most recently the Annie remake last Christmas. Now they're back at it, this time on HBO.
The pair are behind an upcoming miniseries that will tell the tragic story of Emmett Till, the 14 your-old African-American teen who was murdered and mutilated in 1955 in Mississippi for merely talking to a Caucasian girl. Till's murderers were acquitted, despite admitting to the murder later. The project is currently untitled, with no writers nor talent attached. The duo, along with Calvin Harris, also have an EDM-centric comedy in development at the Home Box Office as well.
