"Nintendo of America Hires Bowser as New VP of Sales," reads the headline on a very real, not fake press release posted on Businesswire today announcing a new executive at Nintendo.
So yes, a guy named Doug Bowser has been hired to oversee sales-related functions, in-store merchandising and retail strategy for Nintendo, and there's no way you're going to convince me he wasn't hired because his name is Bowser.
Screw the resume, forget about the experience and who cares if he hates puppies. It's Bowser. (Disclaimer: we have no reason to believe Doug Bowser hates puppies.)
But the real question is how long can a man work in an office where every trip to the water cooler comes with a "Hey, kidnap any princesses lately?" joke.
