Reason #124 Australia is super hardcore: Prime Minister Tony Abbott can chug a beer in six seconds. Abbott was at a hotel in Sydney when members of a local soccer club recognized him and challenged him to slam the beer. The prime minister happily obliged, but this isn't a first for Australia. The country's longest-serving prime minister, Bob Hawke, made it into the Guinness Book of World Records in 1954 for downing two and a half pints of beer in eleven seconds.
If Obama pulled something like that, you know the Republicans would be all over that shit, accusing the president of being an alcoholic or something (and the Democrats would do the same if the situation we reversed). But in the magical land Down Under, the country's leader can down a beer and even set a world record.
