Jan Hooks, who was part of the Saturday Night Live cast from 1986-1991, passed away on Thursday at the age of 57 after battling a serious illness, according to TMZ.
Hooks starred alongside SNL legends like Dana Carvey, Chris Farley and Mike Myers, and was probably most well-known during her time on the show for being part of the Sweeney Sisters duo with Nora Dunn. She also had a successful career outside of SNL. Hooks played Tina in Pee Wee's Big Adventure, had a run on 3rd Rock from the Sun, and more recently killed the role of Jenna Maroney's white trash mother on 30 Rock. Looking at her resume, you actually realize how underrated she was.
R.I.P.
