2016 will mark the 40th anniversary of the Ramones debut album, and the estate is going all out to celebrate. In addition to a book, documentary, and remastered music, the Ramones estate will release a film on the iconic punk band, with Martin Scorsese attached as director.
That's about all we know for now, as Jeff Jampol, the estate's manager, is remaining tight lipped. However he did tease the documentary by saying there's a bunch of unseen footage "from the Ramones on the road over the years in the Seventies and a little bit in the Eighties, from a gentleman who had shot them, his name is George Seminara."
Casting will be tough, but we have a suggestion for the role of Joey: a little actor named Vinny Chase.
