A movie about college friends who get back together only because one of their other friends attempted suicide doesn’t sound that great, but the first trailer for About Alex makes that plotline seem promising.
The talented young cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Max Greenfield, and Jason Ritter, and will take a critical look at the staying power of college friendships and romantic relationships alike. Angst and mopey music will invariably accompany most-to-all conversations that take place onscreen.
