It turns out David Schwimmer has taken the notion of being a “friend” quite literally.
The former star of Friends is the toast of the East Village in New York today, as surveillance footage he gave to police has helped solve a violent stabbing crime that occurred last night.
Apparently, a tryst between a male prostitute and his john went awry at around 5:40 this morning, and the two proceeded to brawl in the building’s lobby. Both were hospitalized following the incident, with the john getting the worst of it and taking a few stabs to the face.
As you might imagine, the two men have differing accounts as to what incited their fight. Schwimmer, ever the good neighbor, helped solve this “he said/he said” by inviting police into his home to show them surveillance footage, and now the appropriate charges are being filed.
