Authorities seized 44 tons of marijuana in Tijuana this week.

According to the Associated Press, Mexico's attorney general's office issued a statement saying that 4,000 packets were seized in Granjas Familiares del Matamoros—across the border from San Diego—during a raid on Thursday.

As the Associated Press notes, marijuana seizures are common in Tijuana due to its distance to the U.S., as seven elaborate tunnels have been discovered over the last few years. Despite this week's massive find, no arrests were made.
