The Cannes Film Festival has announced the lineup of films that will be screened at the festival this year. The prestigious festival is currently on its 67th year, and features a smattering of heavyweights as usual.
The festival will open with Olivier Dahan's Grace of Monaco, a Grace Kelly biopic starring Nicole Kidman. David Croenenberg's Hollywood satire Maps to the Stars, has been selected in the Competition category. The anticipated Tommy Lee Jones directed western The Homesman and Bennett Miller's (Capote, Moneyball) Olympic wrestling drama starring Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo, and Steve Carell will battle for the coveted Palme d'Or as well.
Everybody's favorite stoic actor, Ryan Gosling will premiere Lost River, his Detroit-filmed writer-director debut, at the festival in the Un Certain Regard category.
The Cannes Film Festival will take place in Cannes, France from May 15 to May 25.
