With data alleging that binge drinking is rising in New York City, a health department study has identified the city's biggest cluster of drunks. The results of their 2012 study have been released, where 8,500 drinkers across all five borough were interviewed. Where do the biggest drunks live? Lower Manhattan, Union Square, Greenwich Village and Chelsea.
About 32 percent of people interviewed in those areas admitted to having at least four drinks at once during a 30-day period. In addition, 29 percent of Upper East Side residents did the same, as did 27 percent of East Harlem residents.
Mind those livers, folks.
