Three inches of snow is all it took to effectively cripple Atlanta. All jokes about naming a such a slight "snowstorm" aside (LEON, REALLY?), the unanticipated snow and ice storm lead to a massive gridlock that resulted in thousands of commuters being stranded on highways, left children and adults trapped inside their cars, and forced hundreds of students to sleep at their schools. To say Atlanta was grossly unprepared for inclement weather is a statement a 100-page thesis could be (and maybe should be?) penned on.
Instead, we've gathered all of the visual proof you need that the Atlanta's local government desperately needs to get their shit together, lest they completely embarrass the state of Georgia. Again. Here's to hoping a little white powder doesn't bring ATL to its knees next time.
