The four suspects charged with carjacking and murdering a lawyer at in the parking lot of a New Jersey mall last month have all entered not guilty pleas.

On Dec. 15, Dustin Friedland was shot and killed outside of The Mall at Short Hills in Hoboken, N.J. The suspects allegedly approached the 30-year-old Friedland and his wife, Jamie, as they were entering their Range Rover. Friedland reportedly struggled with the men before being shot in the head. After ordering Jamie Schare Friedland to exit the vehicle, the assailants escaped in it.

According to the New York Post, 29-year-old Hanif Thompson of Irvington, N.J., and 31-year-old Karif Ford, 32-year-old Basim Henry and 33-year-old Kevin Roberts—all from Newark—were arrested on Dec. 21. All four were arraigned today after being charged with murder, conspiracy, carjacking, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Each of their public defenders entered pleas of not guilty, and a Superior Court judge in Newark continued their bail at $2 million.

The Friendland's Range Rover was found in Newark the following morning, and prosecutors believe they were targeted purely because of the car.
