Still mourning the ending of Rescue Me back in 2011? Well, good news: Denis Leary has a new FX show in the works, and it sounds kiiiind of similar to Rescue Me. In the sense that Leary plays a tortured dude with a lot of feelings, only instead of a firefighter named Tommy Gavin, he's a washed up rock star named Johnny Rock. Johnny, Tommy? Close enough.

Anyway, according to Vulture, Leary created and will star in the upcoming FX series Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll, which will follow his character Johnny who tries to get his old rock band together at 50 years old in hopes of "achieving the fame and glory they missed out on the first time." Why did they miss out on it, you ask? Well, apparently, the band had to disband on the day that their debut album was released because Johnny had a really big drug problem. Yikes.

The series will be a half-hour comedy, will include original music, and some choice cameos from real rock stars.
