Colorado has done it. Late Monday night, the Department of Revenue shared the rules that the state had established to make it the first in the country with a legal business for recreational marijuana. This includes everything from marketing, packaging, tracking and store licensing.
Washington, the other state that legalized marijuana this past fall, made some adjustments to their proposed rules as well. Per the New York Daily News, the state's Liquor Control Board made adjustments to clear up how many stores will be allowed in each county, and within the state. Washington is on the verge of approving the rules, as well as distributing licenses for sellers, growers and processors by the year's end.
Colorado could open their stores as early as next year.
