The NYPD has released footage of a rape that occurred last week and a sketch of the suspect in hope of obtaining more information about the crime. Jun. 16, a 26-year-old woman was raped at knifepoint just after midnight in Brooklyn's Greenpoint section. According to the NYPD, the woman was walking near 198 Java Street when her assailant walked up to her, then brandished a knife and raped her.

The man is described as a white or Hispanic male between the ages of 25 and 35, roughly 5'9" with an average build. Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call their Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or texting TIP577 to 274637 (CRIMES).
