There are close to 13 million Apple TV owners in the world—with 6.5 million of the devices having been sold in the last year alone—and if you're one of them, you'll have the special chance to watch Apple's WWDC conference on your set. The WWDC conference is one of the most coveted events in tech: tickets go for thousands of dollars and usually sell out within minutes. This year's conference begins today, and Apple TV owners should now have an "Apple Events" icon on their sets. The channel will also display clips from past WWDC and Apple events.
The company doesn't usually live stream their events via Apple TV. The last time Apple streamed an event through Apple TV was in October 2012 with the launch of the iPad Mini, so their choice to stream by way of Apple TV this year has enhanced speculation of a major announcement.
If you don't have an Apple TV: don't fret. Apple will be streaming the event live from its website, starting at 1 p.m. EST/ 10 a.m. PST.
