The Karate Kid (1984)
Director: John G. Avildsen
No, not the rip-off starring Will Smith's son. The OG Karate Kid is a cult classic for various reasons. It has an endless amount of quotables, cheesy acting, and the greatest ending in movie history. The crane kick is just as recognizable as the Jumpman or the Nike swoosh. This movie was so good Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita have been typecast ever since: Ralph as a bullied teenager (he hasn't aged a bit) and Pat as a wise old man.
