The LAPD ruined someone's weekend last Thursday when they discovered a huge marijuana grow operation in a warehouse near downtown Los Angeles. After executing a search warrant, police found 1,500 pounds of dried weed and marijuana plants along with three pistols, two shotguns, two assault rifles and a rifle.

Officials from the Department of Water and Power and Building and Safety had to be called in because the large-scale operation was reportedly using a "dangerous" amount of electricity. Electricity lines attached to the building were charred due to the amount of electricity that was being used to power the operation.

Investigators say the operation brought in an estimated $7.6 million every 60 days. It likely supplied several stores in Southern California, and weed was probably shipped to the Midwest and East Coast. Four arrests have already been made, and more are expected.
