It may still be a while yet until iOS users get a dedicated Google Maps app, but other map makers continue to work quickly to fill the gaps left both literally and figuratively by Apple's own Maps. Nokia, who makes the new maps app Here for both Windows Phone and the Web, today announced that it will bring versions of the app to both iOS and Android.
Nokia's Here offers turn-by-turn directions, transit directions and detailed location data that Nokia boasts is more up to date than the competition. You can test it out by going to Here.com on either your desktop or mobile browser. Nokia says the iOS app will be available "soon" pending approval and it's opening up the platform to third party developers for Android.
