In an attempt to broaden its horizons and capture an audience that wouldn’t normally buy comics, Marvel has announced a Dexter miniseries by writer Jeff Lindsay, the author of Darkly Dreaming Dexter, which inspired the Showtime series. According to USA Today, the series will revolve around Dexter as he takes out criminals with extreme violence when he feels like traditional justice has fallen short.
"Marvel Comics has always been a place where I felt at home. It has been a very important part of my life, and has always been a wellspring of creative and relevant ideas," Lindsay told the site. "I feel like I'm coming home. It is a huge thrill for me to bring Dexter into this very special pantheon."
This five-issue miniseries will introduce Dexter to the “Skid Row Slaher,” who is a rookie killer gunning for Miami police officers. As Dexter deals with that, he must also prepare for his high school reunion. It will also feature art by Dalibor Talajic.
