Second time around for JNF in STL. First time was outrageous. This time, we’re expecting a fleet of ambulances.
Can’t wait for JNF’s second visit to ESL in D.C. Holy abbreviations, Batman!
Mark and I haven’t presented JNF in Chi-town in quite some time. Ready to seriously bring it to their annual Felabration, and show Chicagoans what the longest standing Afrobeat party in North America is all about!
October 13, 2012 (10 p.m. — 4 a.m.)
REVIVAL w/DJ PQ + NAI PALM
905 Atlantic Ave.
$10 ($5 with RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org)
It seems like every time I play in Bed-Stuy, sparks fly and asses shake. I couldn’t resist starting a monthly when my man Alex proposed it to me. This is the first ever edition of our new Revival party. And if that wasn’t enough, it’s the North American debut of a dope, dope singer, Nai Palm, from the band Hiatus Kaiyote (Melbourne, Australia). You’ll be hearing a lot from her band in the years to come. Hear me now, believe me later.
October 18, 2012 (9 p.m. — 2 a.m.)
JUMP N FUNK w/The Marksmen
511 E. 36th St., Charlotte, N.C.
This will be Mark’s and my first time ever bringing Jump N Funk to Charlotte. Thanks to Jalonda for making it happen, and ready to make this the first of many!
October 19, 2012 (9pm—2am)
JUMP N FUNK
1822 Sunset Blvd.
$10 before midnight
The seventh annual L.A. Jump N Funk should be nothing less than spectacular, especially with how well AfroBeatles was received at MacArthur Park a few weeks ago. Salute Asad, Cognito and Ryan for their loyalty and effort on behalf of JNF.
Spreadlove vs. JNF Felabration #5 is gonna be a highlight of 2012—just like the previous four years. Say, “Yeah yeah,” Atlanta!
