Fort Hood Soldier Fails at Scaring Hiccups Out of Fellow Soldier

Spin it however you like, there's no good reason to point a gun in someone's face. Isaac Young, a soldier stationed at Fort Hood, had a serious case of the hiccups. Fellow soldier Patrick Myers figured he'd help Young out by scaring his hiccups away, so he pointed a handgun in his face. Sadly, the weapon discharged, killing Young in the face.

Both men were drinking at the time of the incident, which explains a lot, but doesn't make it any less unacceptable.

Myers has been charged with manslaughter.
