While reporting its third quarter financial results, Apple announced that the next iteration of Mac OS X, nicknamed "Mountain Lion," will be released to consumers tomorrow.
Mac OS 10.8 will continue the merging of Apple's desktop and mobile operating systems (iOS) by implementing a number of previously mobile-only apps and touch gestures. The upgrade will bring over the Notes and Reminders app, and the iMessage service from the iPhone. The new version will also feature deeper, iOS-like Twitter integration, allowing users to tweet from nearly any application.
Apple Mac OS Mountain Lion will be available from the Mac App Store for $19.99.
