In a summer film season filled with explosions, violence, and sex comedies, it's easy to forget the beauty that the art of cinema can provide us. When you block out the noise from all of the superhero flicks, action movies, remakes, sequels, and commercialization of the industry, you can still hear a buzz, though. And that buzz is centered all on one movie: Beasts of the Southern Wild

Directed by Behn Zeitlin and starring the young Quvenzhané Wallis as Hushpuppy, the debut trailer for the movie gives us a very short glimpse at the beautiful nature of the film. Mixing folklore, fantasy, and a bit of magic, this movie showcases the journey of a young girl trying to figure out the secret behind nature and the universe.

It's never a good idea to get swept away by the high expectations for a film, but the buzz around Beasts of the Southern Wild is near-deafening. It received universal acclaim at Sundance earlier in the year and will screen in competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival

For everybody else, Beasts of the Southern Wild will hit theaters on June 27.
