Just when we thought that nothing could ease the pain of Community's dissappearance from NBC's line-up, we've been offered this platinum-lining: Giancarlo Esposito will be paying a visit to Greendale.
According to TV Guide, Esposito will be appearing in an upcoming episode as the assistant of Pierce's late father, Cornelius Hawthorne. Esposito, who played the meth man and loose cannon Gus Fring on AMC's Breaking Bad, says his role on Community will be similarly sinister.
"This role calls for someone who has quite a bit of calm and is keeping a secret," Esposito said. "From the moment they called me, my sense was the writers admired Breaking Bad and wanted me to come on and do some semblance of a Gus-like character."
A legititmate bad boy on Community played by a Breaking Bad alum? Community's return can't come any sooner!
