The Kardashian family is looking to grow their media empire by launching a magazine, reports the New York Post.
Sources say the negative publicity following Kim's botched marriage to Kris Humphries has given the family the desire to lead their own media coverage.
A deal with American Media Inc., which owns Star, National Enquirer and Shape, is reportedly in the works.
The magazine would be a "glossy" dedicated to the family, with the sisters heavily involved in the editorial side, and Kris Jenner making things happen behind the scenes.
“This is a Kardashian idea,” a source said. “They have been reaching out to several media outlets.”
