And they all come crashing down.

Following in the footsteps of the Motorola Xyboard today, and the BlackBerry PlayBook and HP TouchPad previously, Sony has announced that its cutting the price of its Tablet S by $100.

The 16 GB version of the sleek tablet with an unconventional "folded" design will now retail for $399. The 32 GB model is now $499.

Since the Great HP TouchPad Firesale of 2011 and the success of the Kindle Fire showed that people will go crazy for tablets if they don't have to pay an arm and a leg for them, prices for the devices have been on a steady decline.
