Seven-year-old Rita Lawlor of Sarasota, Florida received an award from the Sarasota County Fire Department yesterday for saving her mother's life. When asked by reporters exactly what she did when she couldn't wake her mom up, the creative Lawlor had this to say: "I called 911, but first I slapped her with a piece of pizza."
And that, everybody, is how you save a life.
