A Utah man was arrested this week after he shot his neighbor in the back, claiming the man had "telepathically raped" his wife.

53-year-old Michael Selleneit is being held in county prison on charges of attempted murder and unlawful possession of a semi-automatic handgun. He maintains that his neighbor, 41-year-old Tony Pierce, was "telepathically" trying to kill him and his wife, along with the alleged telepathic sexual assualts. Selleneit also told police that he shot in self-defense Pierce with intent to kill, even though he has been ordered in the past to stay away from guys after a 1990 convicition of forcible sexual abuse of a child.

Obviously...cops haven't found any evidence to support Selleneit's supernatural claims. He faces life in prison if convicted.
