All the talk about Facebook losing popularity is just that. Sure, the social network might not be adding members at the same rate that it has in the past, but that’s what happens when you cross the 700-million threshold and there are oh-so-many people left in the world with access to a stable Internet connection.

And so, during the months of both June and July, the social network tallied more than 1 trillion pageviews, according to Google-owned ad network DoubleClick, with about 860 million unique visitors. Each visitor racked up an estimated 1,160 pageviews over the course of each of the two months, and an astonishing 40 per visit.

The only sites that could come anywhere close to Facebook’s traffic would be Google or Gmail, but per company policy, Google refuses to disclose such information.
