Oh the irony when a quote about living life to the fullest pops up in the middle of a song about offing oneself! The Gravediggaz's creepy utilization of cheerful wisdom courtesy of the teens gone wild misadventure Ferris Beuller's Day Off (1986) comes out of left field, a field full of fictional victims pushing up daisies on "1-800-Suicide."
"I said it before and I'll say it again," says the hooky-playing Ferris (Matthew Broderick) midway through the song, his vocal pitch slightly off to reflect the sound of the scary-ass track. "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." Count on the astute mind of Prince Paul not to miss an opportunity to find clever samples where you least expect them.
