Despite our thoughts about director Martin Campbell's latest flick, Green Lantern, the filmmaker doesn't seem to care about the hate; in fact, he's dishing some vitriol of his own out. Campbell, who directed the well-received James Bond flicks resurgence with GoldenEye (1995) and Casino Royale (2006), sends some not-so-subliminal shots to those behind the most recent 007 flick, and quasi-sequel to Casino Royale, 2008's Quantum Of Solace.
"Oh, I thought it was lousy," Campbell told CraveOnline quite bluntly. "And hopefully this next one will be terrific."
"I just thought the story was pretty uninteresting," he went on to say about Quantum Of Solace. "I didn't think the action was related to the characters. I just thought overall it was a bit of a mess really."
Sam Mendes, who directed the superbly shot Revolutionary Road, is set to helm the 23rd installment of the 007franchise. We hope that he can live up to Martin's high expectations because it seems he'll most likely hear about it later.
