We’re almost positive Rubber is one of the most unique films you’ll see this year. The story follows a tire—a non-living tire—called Robert. It’s an abandoned piece of rubber that somehow miraculously comes to life. Wait, before you even give off that “seriously?” expression, let us tell you, not only does this tire roam around the desert at its own will, but it possesses telepathic forces that take the head-bursting effects of 1981's Scanners to a whole new level. Directed by acclaimed French house musician, Quentin Dupieux, a.k.a Mr. Oizo, those who have seen this film applaud its distinctive features and occasional humor, despite its bizarre plot. The film hits select theaters on April 1, but it’ll be available on demand from February 25. Peep the trailer.
