Here Are Some of Chance the Rapper's Favorite Movies

Chance's next job could be as a movie critic.

You might be surprised to learn that Chance the Rapper is quite a seasoned film critic. He’s no stranger to taking to social media to express his opinions about movies he loves or criticize movies he thinks could have done better. He generally has good taste, too: Jordan Peele himself saw Chance freak out at a screening of Get Out, which is generally the correct reaction tot have to that movie. Chance also reacted negatively to Will Smith’s Bright, which was panned by critics and made Chance feel “cheated” by its allegorical racism.

Chance has even demonstrated an interest in making some movies of his own: late last year, he asked his Twitter followers for help writing a movie with the truly fantastical plot of Trump getting his first iPod for Christmas. Earlier this month, it was announced that Chance would finally join Sam Rockwell, Justin Timberlake, James Corden and Anna Kendrick in the cast of Trolls 2, a the sequel to the 2016 animated film, marking Chance’s first feature length voice acting role.

That’s all to say that it was no surprise when Chance took to his Twitter earlier today to create a long thread listing some of his favorite movies.

Movies I love:
The Wackness
The Brothers Bloom
Blue Streak

Chance’s full list of movies he loves is as follows: Holes, The Wackness, Life, The Brothers Bloom, The Prestige, Blue Streak, Drumline, ATL, Accepted, Stomp The Yard, Anchorman and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It’s a pretty varied list consisting of some truly great films, so Chance’s status as a film buff remains intact. The question remains, though: when will we get that Trump movie?
