Mariah Carey meme'd herself.

The 48-year-old singer isn't necessarily known for being an active participant in meme culture—although her fans have turned her into one on occasion—but she couldn't resist taking part in the recent "If you don't love me at my __, you don't deserve me at my __" trend.

Pairing a photo of herself playing the role of social worker Ms. Weiss in Precious with the cover artwork for her 2005 album The Emancipation of Mimi, Carey nailed her take on the meme.

don't love deserve

Within hours, her post racked up nearly 100,000 likes—already her third most popular tweet of all time.

So, where did this meme come from? Apparently, it's based on a Marilyn Monroe quote, where she said, "I’m selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best." Although some people have pointed out there isn't any real evidence she ever actually said that.

Either way, Mariah Carey fans are loving the fact that she participated in the trend. See some reactions below.
