Kanye Reveals His Solo Album and Kid Cudi Collab Project Will Both Drop in June

Two new Kanye albums are coming this summer.

Kanye West’s newly revived Twitter feed has finally offered the world a little bit more than advice and some light entertainment. Like: two albums, coming in June. Kanye's new solo album will drop June 1 and will be seven songs long.

Seconds after he announced that, Kanye revealed a second album, this one with Kid Cudi. It will drop a week later, on June 8, Yeezus' 41st birthday. He revealed the album title, Kids See Ghost, and said it's the name of their act as well.

The fact that Kanye and Cudi have a project together won't be a major surprise to any eagle-eyed fans. The two were been spotted together in a studio in L.A. as well as at Takashi Murakami's studio last summer, and speculation that the two had a secret project in the works skyrocketed. In November, CyHi the Prynce confirmed Ye would be handling the production for all the tracks on Kid Cudi's upcoming album, but when Cudi was seen in Wyoming, it was all but confirmed that he was also involved in Kanye's next project.

Yeezy had been receiving all kinds of famous guests at his Jackson Hole studio; in March, Kim Kardashian said he goes to record there when he's "in the zone" because it's peaceful and he can focus. She added that he was planning on releasing something "very soon." Kid Cudi, Nas, Travis Scott, Mike Dean, Pi'erre Bourne, and even Drake were seen in Wyoming, presumably to record with Kanye in some capacity.

When Ye returned to Twitter this month, everyone began speculating that it was the first sign that new music was on its way. Earlier today, that hope was rekindled asTMZ caught up with Charlamagne tha God and he told them he'd heard "a good portion" of Kanye's new album.

The last Kid Cudi record was December 2016's Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'; Kanye's was February 2016's The Life of Pablo, which featured Cudi's mmm's over two cuts.
