Rich the Kid sat down with TMZ for a 10-minute interview to talk about his debut album The World Is Yours. The album, which includes features from Future, Kendrick Lamar, Khalid, Migos, Swae Lee, Lil Wayne, and more, drops later this month on March 30. As TMZ's interviewer Raquel asks about the process of making the new album, Rich spits out short answers, shouts randomly, and spends a lot of time stacking his pinky rings.
Then around the 8:20 mark shes asks about what's going on between him and Lil Uzi Vert. Rich responds with a sly smile and says “Who?”
After being pressed about Uzi again, he responds “I never heard of Lil Uzi Vert. Who is that? This a rapper or something?” He continues, “Right now I got two song on the Billboard charts. I never heard of Lil Uzi on the Billboard charts right now.”
Beyond that Rich doesn’t elaborate on his feud with the "XO Tour Llif3" rapper, but it’s clear that the beef between them that kicked off in the beginning of 2018 is still going strong. The pair began taking jabs at each other in January on Twitter, and it escalated to the point where Lil Uzi tagged Rich as a crab on Instagram.
At the end of February, the Atlanta rapper shared a diss track rapping “Your money getting shorter,” an obvious reference to Lil Uzi’s 2016 breakout song “Money Longer.”
This new interview shows that the beef has yet to be squashed, but so far it's unclear if Uzi is going to give any attention to this new shade on his socials. Stay tuned.
