News that TDE and Kendrick would be spearheading Black Panther: The Album came out earlier this month. Speculation hit a fever pitch after Kendrick dropped a hint in the music video for his Damn single "Love."

Prior to "Pray for Me," the Kendrick track "All the Stars," featuring SZA, was released. Next up was Jay Rock's "King's Dead" featuring Kendrick, Future, and James Blake.

"The magnitude of this film showcases a great marriage of art and culture. I'm truly honored to contribute my knowledge of producing sound and writing music alongside [director Ryan Coogler] and Marvel's vision," Kendrick said in a statement concerning his involvement with the soundtrack.

Black Panther: The Album will be available to stream beginning Feb. 9, while the Marvel film will hit theaters on Feb. 16. Reviews for the movie have already started to trickle in and they're very, very good.
