Listen to Skott's Bright New EP 'Stay Off My Mind'

The Swedish songstress returns with some futuristic pop.

We won't waste your time with another glowing account of Scandinivia's pop skills. Suffice to say that SKOTT is from Sweden, she makes pristine pop music, and her latest EP should expose her voice to a much, much larger fan base.  Over four songs, the artist born Pauline Skött exhibits a mastery of various styles alongside longtime collaborators Agrin Rhamani, Theo Carlson, and Christian Nilsson.

They've known each other for some time—"The fact that I'm making music with friends, and that we know each other so well makes me think that we can be more honest with each other," Skott tells us, "and more free and happy when we create."

The title track is an easy standout, but every song is worth a listen. "Russian Soul" is radio-ready, "In The Mood" shows off Skott's sultrier side, and "This Vibe" exhibits the kind of huge songwriting prowess that got our attention on her earlier tracks "Porcelain" and "Glitter & Gloss."

"Stay Off My Mind refers to a bittersweet longing," she continues, "or beautiful memories of someone very special. The fact that you can't stop thinking of this person is almost driving you crazy... To me it's about my friend that is no longer with us."
