Lil Uzi Vert is not one to shy away from speaking his mind or making a statement. This year, he managed to do both while on the red carpet for the 2018 Grammy Awards. His eccentric, high-fashion fit made a big impression, but his conversation with an MTV reporter revealed some insight into a recent shopping trip with Kanye West.
When asked about his outing with 'Ye, he revealed that the rapper is all about being a family man now. "He's never thinking about himself. It's weird. He was grabbing everything for his family. He said, 'I don't even get dressed anymore, I swag out my family.'" Uzi seemed to admire Kanye's dedication to keeping the fam decked out. "In that moment I realized: gotta swag out the whole family," he added.
During the brief interview, Uzi Vert also touched upon his recent exchange with DJ Drama. "I'm just a person who speaks my mind. If I get mad at you, I'll tweet you," he said in response to being asked if everything was good between him and Drama. Uzi kept it short and sweet, but it seemed like there were no hard feelings remaining. He was also pretty tight-lipped when it came to the rumored Marilyn Manson collaboration. Uzi said he didn't know what was going on with it, but joked that it would "take a lot of shrooms" for that project to happen.
