Another chapter has been added to the ongoing saga of XXXTentacion's attempts to quit music.

Observers of the controversial Florida rapper and accused domestic batterer will remember that back in October, he said he was leaving his record deal and wouldn't be releasing any music "for a very long time."

X's own team responded skeptically to his announcement, but the rapper doubled down. Claiming he was "tired of the hate, he said, "I will not be making or releasing any music." Within a week, though, he was sharing new music. And just a few days ago, he released a holiday EP.

So with all that as background, here's the latest. Tuesday night, X jumped on social media and announced that he's committed to making music. "Never quitting music, that would be selfish I see how many people need me," he wrote. He also shared that he plans to release three albums in 2018.

X heads to trial on Friday for charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and witness-tampering.
