During a July appearance on Snoop Dogg’s GGN series, Miguel previewed a smooth, upbeat track off his upcoming album, War & Leisure. Though he said he expected it to drop sometime in August, fans have yet to hear the entire digital record—that is until now.

The song, titled “Pineapple Skies,” arrived tonight on streaming services, just weeks before Miguel’s fourth studio album is expected to drop. It follows War & Leisure’s previously released singles “Told You So” and the Travis Scott-assisted “Sky Walker.”

“Everything gon' be alright/Got you dancin’ to the song while you do it like that Lights so bright, why you do it like that,” he sings over the infection pop-funk beat.

Miguel performed an acoustic rendition of the song back in October. If you like the album version, do yourself a favor and check out the stripped down version here.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Miguel spoke about the inspiration behind War & Leisure—specifically, its intention to help listeners get through the tumultuous political climate.

“[The album] is more about the personal struggle to find our way in the middle of it all,” he explained. “Stay positive but be mindful. Not to ignore what's happening, but not to be bogged down by it and stop our way of life.”

You can listen to “Pineapple Skies” on Apple Music and iTunes or by heading to Spotify

War & Leisure will arrive Dec. 1.
