Forbes returns with their annual 30 Under 30 feature, which spotlights "600 young innovators, entrepreneurs, and leaders who are challenging the conventional wisdom and rewriting the rules for the next generation." 30 honorees are included in each of the 20 categories, and the music category is full of acts who made their mark in 2017.

Lil Uzi Vert's inclusion was a no-brainer, as the Philly rapper stacked platinum plaques throughout the year and also topped the Billboard 200 chart with his debut album Luv Is Rage 2. Even with that success, Vert hasn't slowed down on the feature tip, recently linking up with Nav and Dave East on their respective tracks.

Forbes also recognized Cardi B's meteoric rise. Among some of her highlights: a No. 1 single ("Bodak Yellow"), several trophies from the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, and a hustle no one can match.

ATL trio Migos made the list thanks to a chart-topping album (Culture), chart-topping single ("Bad and Boujee"), and shining on tracks with the likes of Gucci Mane, Katy Perry, and Calvin Harris.

And while Travis Scott was relatively quiet on the music front—remember, he's got a solo album and a Quavo collab project on deck—the Texas representative toured extensively throughout the year, continued to build his rep in the fashion industry, and made his verses count whenever he popped up on a track.

SZA, Young Thug, Bebe Rexha, Marshmello, Playboi Carti, WondaGurl, and Khalid also made the cut, along with behind-the-scenes players like Will Dzombak (Wiz Khalifa, Taylor Gang) and Chris Zarou (Logic, Visionary Music Group).
