Premiere: Mathematics and Wu-Tang Drop "People Say" Video f/ Redman

The album 'Wu Tang: The Saga Continues' will be out Oct. 13.

Hot on the heels of taking shots at Martin Shkreli on "Lesson Learn'd," longtime Wu-Tang Clan affiliate DJ Mathematics has released a new offering from his upcoming album Wu Tang: The Saga Continues. The album, which naturally leans heavily on appearances by Clan members and is executive produced by RZA, will be out Oct. 13 as the first release on RZA's newly revamped company 36 Chambers ALC in partnership with Entertainment One. You can pre-order it here.

To celebrate this week's #WuWednesday, Complex is proud to premiere the video for "People Say." The track features the Wu's Method Man, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, and Masta Killa and, like "Lesson Learn'd," it also has a verse from Meth's longtime partner in crime Redman.

"When I first started recording it, off the top I knew it was something special," Mathematics told Complex. "Everybody’s energy on high. I felt the song represents a form of rejuvenation."

The video, directed by Jean Shepard, shows Mathematics, the song's vocalists, and RZA passing along a mysterious box with the Wu's logo (which Mathematics designed) on it.

"The concept of the video is based on a Wu box and inside the Wu box is the secret to Wu's energy," Mathematics explained. "It’s sacred but at the same time we want to share it so we give it out piece by piece. But there’s always someone who wants to take too much for their own selfish reasons. All of that transpires in the video."
