Foreign Beggars

Described as "veterans of the UK scene" by Mistajam, Foreign Beggars return to the limelight with "Toast". Co-produced by Alix Perez and featuring Izzie Gibbs and Dizmak, the track serves as the lead single for their first solo album in five years, 2 2 Karma. Over a staccato rhythm and bass-heavy instrumental, Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis make their mark on the track with their undeniably unique and flawlessly contrasting inflections.

Also weighing in and showcasing their lyrical dexterity are grime MCs Izzie Gibbs and Dizmack, making a strong statement and giving an enticing taster of what's to come from the LP, slated for release in February 2018. The highly anticipated album will feature artists such as Kate Tempest, Kojey Radical, OG Maco, as well as production features from some of bass music's most sought-after producers — Ivy Lab, Hyroglifics, Flux Pavilion and Feed Me.

Speaking to Complex about the album, Foreign Beggars said: "We started work on it around a year and a half / two years ago. Initially, we had wanted it to be more of a live sounding album but our electronic sensibilities cut through in the end. Like Ayslum Speakers and some of our other projects we wanted to open it out and invited a spread of artists we are feeling to feature, some new faces and some old. We're proud of this album; it's been a real labour of love and we hope people will be buzzing off it just as much as we are."
