Swae Lee Says He's Countersuing in Water Bottle Throwing Lawsuit

TMZ briefly speaks with Swae Lee at LAX about their water bottle throwing lawsuit.

TMZ caught up with Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd at LAX Airport on Friday to discuss the lawsuit filed against the group by someone claiming to have been permanently scarred and disfigured during one of their concerts last year. "I'm about to countersue," he said. "'Cause he's lying. [He] ain't finna cause me stress, I'm finna countersue."

A Michigan man, who is being represented by an attorney named Jonathan Marko, sued Rae Sremmurd for negligence, assault, and battery following an October 2016 concert he attended where the group allegedly started throwing water bottles into the crowd. The unnamed plaintiff claims that one of the bottles, which were launched into the audience without warning, allegedly struck him in the nose, ripping off "a chunk of his face."

Swae tried to further clarify the issue, stating that he and Slim Jxmmi have never thrown a bottle during their shows. "I do like 3,000 shows, but I never threw a bottle off stage. And Jxmmi never threw a bottle off stage. So it's a false accusation. So I'm about to countersue."

Then, as he left, Swae took what could be perceived as a jab at the guy who filed the lawsuit, saying, "I appreciate the check, man. I appreciate the check. I hope you get your nose fixed." If this guy thought he could make a quick buck off Rae Sremmurd, he's sadly mistaken.

Swae seems extremely confident that he and Jxmmi will come away from this matter without having to give him a dime.
