A Michigan man is accusing the members of Rae Sremmurd of injuring his face by throwing water bottles at him, according to a new lawsuit brought forward on the rap duo.

The unnamed plaintiff, who is represented by an attorney named Jonathan Marko according to TMZ, claims he suffered a facial injury while attending a Rae Sremmurd concert in October 2016. His lawsuit claims Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi threw water bottles into the stands without warning during the show, and one of the bottles allegedly made contact with the plaintiff's nose, ripping off "a chunk of his face" in the process and leaving permanent scarring and disfigurement as a result.

This sounds like quite a story if it's true, and the plaintiff is making some serious allegations in the lawsuit, suing the pair for negligence, assault, and battery, and asking for the group to recoup his medical expenses on top of further damages. The exact dollar amount is unclear, but if you're making claims about "permanent disfigurement," there's probably a decent bit of change attached.

Sremmurd have yet to come out and address the controversy, so we'll have to wait to see if this is "fake news," like they claimed the rumors of their breakup were. For all we know, Lee and Jxmmi are hard at work in the studio prepping Sremmlife 3 for release, after claiming in mid-July their new project was, "coming soon."

TMZ claims to have a photo of the man's alleged injury, if you take them at their word, which you can view here.
