Cardi B Says She Was Assaulted by a Police Officer

What’s up guys?! Beija here for Complex.   Cardi B has been gracing headlines lately thanks to her hit single “Bodak Yellow” climbing its way up the charts taking her clout to another level. But despite the 24-year-old’s face & voice being plastered everywhere in the media, apparently her success still isn’t enough to stop police from putting their hands on her.   The Bronx rapper claimed that an NYPD officer assaulted her. Cardi took to Twitter last night to reveal the news in a now-deleted-tweet that a cop had put her in a chokehold.   “I can’t believe this cop put me on a choke hold just now this shit is crazy these NY cops don’t know how to do they job FUCK 12”    One of Cardi’s fans responded to her tweet with a gif of Joseline Hernandez sipping from a straw that read: “I bet the cops were white”. Cardi replied, “YEUP HE WAS” in another tweet that was quickly deleted. Since then, she has not tweeted or provided an explanation as to why those messages were deleted.   Fans were highly upset after hearing the news on what happened to Cardi and they took to social media to express their opinions.   Cardi B, has been spending a lot of time with Offset lately, and fans are patiently waiting for her debut album to drop. The former-dancer just recently dropped her remix to “Bodak Yellow” with Kodak Black, and even though she’s been flooded with back-to-back wins, hopefully this BS with the cops won’t hinder her from glo’ing up even more.   Complex reached out to a rep for Cardi, who didn’t have any comment. The NYPD Public Information office did not have any information about what, if anything, happened, but confirmed to Complex that Cardi had not been arrested that evening.   That’s all the news for now, but for more on Cardi B, be sure to subscribe to Complex on Youtube today.
