Selena Gomez's Instagram account was briefly taken down after a hacker allegedly took control and shared multiple nude images of Justin Bieber on Monday. Gomez and Bieber, of course, were previously involved in an on-again/off-again relationship.

The nude images, according toVariety, were the same ones published by paparazzi following Bieber’s 2015 Bora Bora vacation. At the time of this article's publication, Gomez's account had been reinstated. Gomez has not commented on the incident. Reps for Instagram did not immediately respond to Complex's request for comment.

The nude photos in question, as reported by TMZ way back in 2015, reportedly resulted in Bieber's legal team sending out cease and desist letter to multiple news outlets. Bieber's team also threatened to sue if the images weren't removed.

"My first thing was like…how can they do this? Like, I feel super violated," Bieber toldAccess Hollywood following the images' initial circulation. "Like, I feel like I can't step outside and feel like I can go outside naked. Like, you should feel comfortable in your own space… especially that far away."

Bieber made headlines last month for calling off the remaining dates of his Purpose World Tour. "Everything's fine," Bieber later confirmed when annoyingly approached by paparazzi. "I've been on tour for two years."

Scooter Braun, Bieber's manager, later added more context to Bieber's decision in a lengthy Instagram note to fans. "[A] man's soul and well being I truly care about came first and we must all respect and honor that," he said. "Justin will be back and I know he looks forward to performing for you and with you all again. One chapter ends and another begins."
