Syd's debut solo album Fin has only been out for two months, but The Internet's lead singer surprised fans this morning with more new music in the form of a single called "Treading Water."
Uploaded to her SoundCloud page with no explanation, it's uncertain where this song will eventually find its home—but based on the cover art and overall tone, it feels like an extra cut from the Fin sessions. Another ultra-smooth slice of alt-R&B, this one would have fit very well on her alongside the pop-leaning energy of her debut record. Whatever the origin, this one is a very welcomed surprise.
